Seminar Program at Autonomia EXPO on Sunday 17th May 2009
On Sunday 17th May at Autonomia EXPO at the Stadium of Peace and Friendship there will be a series of supportive seminars in room “Melina Mercouri” with capacity of 900 people.
Conference: “e-Government & Citizens with Disabilities”
10am-11am: This conference concerns the Access of Citizens with Disabilities to the E-Government Services and will last for one hour, from 10am till 11am, on Sunday 17th May.
Discussions will be focused on e-accessibility and on the equal access and electronic communication of people with disabilities with the Public Administration, but also on the development of accessible online applications in Greece in order to support accessibility and usability of the online content. Within the frame of the conference, the “Online Gate for People with Disabilities” will be presented (http://www.amea.gov.gr/).
Seminar for Multiple Sclerosis:
The first seminar is about Multiple Sclerosis and takes place at 11 a.m. with the help of the Association for Multiple Sclerosis. Coordinated by Assistant Professor of Neurology at the University of Athens, Antonis Rompos.
In this seminar, the following themes will be discussed:
- “Therapeutic Approaches to Multiple Sclerosis”, Rompos Antonis (Assistant Professor of Neurology at the University of Athens, Aiginitio Hospital)
- “Multiple Sclerosis and Depression”, Peppas Evaggelos (Psychiatrist- Psychotherapist, Psychiatric Clinic of the University of Athens, Aiginitio Hospital)
- “The Role of Positive Emotions”, Hrisovitsanou Hrisa (Special MS nurse, MSc, Centre of Specific Neurological Diseases of the University of Athens)
Seminar for Autism:
The second seminar is concerned with Autism and particularly High-Functioning Autism. The seminar will take place on Sunday 17th May at 3 p.m., and will last until 6 p.m.
The speakers of this seminar will be people who have autism themselves.
